Hi, I am Rishabh Bezbarua.
I combine systems and security research with practical engineering experience to build and analyze real-world solutions to cybersecurity challenges.
I am a Computer Science senior at UIUC focused on computer security and systems, currently working on cybersecurity research with Professor Kirill Levchenko. My work involves building and analyzing systems to detect, understand, and mitigate real-world security threats.
In addition to my research, I have experience developing scalable software systems and applied AI solutions across infrastructure, automation, and intelligent applications. I am interested in opportunities at the intersection of security, systems, and applied machine learning.
I am interested in developing innovative approaches to improving user privacy and security on the internet, with a focus on network security, anonymity systems, and applied cryptography.
My research bridges theoretical security models with real-world systems, aiming to design solutions that are both practical and scalable.

This patent pending project developed under the guidance of mentors from Intel Inc. (India) can teach people with Autism to understand emotions and interact with others in the society.
Multi-purpose discord bot that is mostly used for entertaiment. Can also be used for searching for images, some image manipulation, getting summaries of wikipedia articles and much more. I have been working on this project since December, 2021. More information about this bot is available here.
My story "Champ Goes To The Zoo" was awarded the first prize in India where prominant authors like Ruskin Bond and Chetan Bhagat judged the competition. The story was later made into an animated mmovie that is available here
Held by the University of New South Wales, Australia. I won "High Distinction" award in Mathematics twice in 2014 & 2015
Organized in association with NASA.
Conducted in 23 countries by The Royal Australian Chemical Institute
Organized jointly by The Times Of India and Dell Technologies where over 3,50,000 from all over India participated
Organized by IBM in collaboration with 1M1B, CBSE and Learning Links Foundation. The challenge was to focus on "AI For A Better India". My project AI Medic was adjudged as one of the best in the finals and I was awarded an internship with IBM India for my project.
My AI Receptionist is an AI based bot that can work as a school receptionist. This was built with the guidance of mentors from Intel Inc and was showcased in New Delhi twice to federal ministers and officials. This was one of the first AI models developed by school students in India.
My AI Autism Assistant an AI based software that can teach people with Autism to understand emotions and interact with others in the society. This project was also developed with the help of mentors from Intel along with one of my fellow class mates. This project is patent pending.
My AI Medic is an AI based bot that can serve as the first level of health problem detection for people who are wary about visiting a hospital or clinic during covid pandemic. This project was chosen for the finals of the IBM EdTech Youth Challenge India 2021 and based on this project, I was selected for a virtual Internship with IBM India.
I was selected for “The Junior Academy” program organized by the New York Academy of Sciences for 2021-22. Our team spread across India and Nepal workedon prevention of overgrowth of algae, alongside the monitoring of eutrophied bodies to regulate level of minerals in the water and proposed methods to treat the eutrophied water of it’s already present excess nutrients
I enrolled for an online certification course called “Big Bang Physics” organized by Life Lab Foundation in association with global experts and leading scientists in particle physics from CERN, Switzerland. This course is helped me understand the fascinating world of particle physics. I completed the first and second levels of the course. In the second level I interacted with leading scientists from CERN, Switzerland and also made a video on Standard Model Of Particle Physics that received a distinction as one of the top 100 performers across South Asia.
Here are a few of my project videos that I made during my high school
Developed for an online course with CERN, Switzerland in 2020 - 2021
Apart from research and academia, I am interested in a lot of other activities.
